Company expands African operations to work with 22 mobile operators across 18 countries DUBLIN AND DALLAS, 12 November, 2015 – AdaptiveMobile, the world leader in mobile network security, has today announced its significant growth in Africa throughout 2015. The Company currently works with 22 mobile operators across 18 countries, having increased its presence in the region by 16 countries in 2015, and is seeing a strong demand for its Grey Route Controls solution. The growth has been driven by AdaptiveMobile’s continued leading-edge work in identifying, mitigating and protecting against the latest in mobile security threats and shielding operators worldwide from financial exploitation. The Company first launched its Grey Route Controls Service earlier this year – providing mobile operators with state of the art protection to secure their networks and protect and grow new revenue streams. “AdaptiveMobile offers a unique platform that successfully blocks unwanted messages terminating to our subscribers through unauthorised routes,” said Mohammed Buari, Senior Manager Alliance Operations, MTN Group Enterprise Business Unit. “Since deploying its Network Protection Platform, MTN Nigeria now records significant new revenues monthly and has stopped the primary streams of grey route messages.”Operators in the region are using the solution to identify and shut down grey route traffic and recapture millions of dollars in revenue each month. Tangible benefits they are seeing include a significant decrease in the volume of customer complaints and billable time handling concerns. In addition the insight gained through the software is enabling MNOs to identify new revenue streams in vertical markets as well as gain market share over competitors. “As A2P traffic grows steadily through businesses targeting consumers via messaging, so mobile operators are increasingly at risk of losing out on significant revenues,’ said Brian Collins, Chief Executive Officer of AdaptiveMobile. “The first step for mobile operators to reclaiming the millions of dollars slipping through the net is to fully understand the extent of this back-door threat on their networks, and to act immediately to protect their business and recapture the value of the traffic. Moreover by protecting their valued subscribers these operators are simultaneously protecting their brand image and reaping direct benefits from improved customer experience.”AdaptiveMobile will be issuing a new Threat Intelligence Report sharing the latest research on the financial exploitation affecting operator networks worldwide at AfricaCom, November 17th – 19th.
